Image Resizer — Free, Browser-Based
Resize images to a specific width/height or cap them at a max pixel dimension. Batch process whole folders. Aspect ratio preserved by default.
How to resize an image to specific dimensions
- Drop your images. Drag and drop one or more images. Batch resize works the same way.
- Pick a resize mode. Choose: Fit max width, Fit max height, Fixed width × height, or Cap longest edge.
- Enter target dimensions. E.g. "max 1920px longest edge" for blog images, "exactly 800×800" for product photos.
- Download. Click Download or Download All. Resized files include the new dimensions in the filename.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Are my images uploaded?
- No. Resizing runs in your browser via canvas. Your files never leave your device.
- Does it preserve aspect ratio?
- Yes by default. Disable the lock to stretch/squash to exact dimensions if needed.
- What is the difference between resize and crop?
- Resize scales the whole image. Crop cuts a rectangle out. Use the Image Cropper tool if you want to remove parts of the image.
- Will image quality drop?
- Downscaling is high-quality (Lanczos resampling). Upscaling causes blur — use AI upscaling for that.
- Can I batch?
- Yes. Drop multiple files, apply one resize spec, download as ZIP.
- What output formats?
- PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF. Keep original format or convert during resize.
