Test Calculator
The one-shot grader for a single quiz or test: type how many questions there were and how many answers were wrong, and get the score three ways — percentage, letter grade and the plain fraction correct — on either a simple A–F scale or a plus/minus scale. The grade-options table below the result shows what every wrong-answer count would have scored. Everything runs in this browser tab.
Pick the grades scale
Choose the plain A, B, C, D, F scale or the finer A+, A, A−, B+ … scale. The legend beside the result shows the exact percent bands this tool uses, so the letter it prints is never a mystery.
Enter questions and wrong answers
Percentage grade = questions answered correctly ÷ total questions × 100. A 10-question test with 1 wrong: 9 ÷ 10 = 90%, which is an A on the plain scale and an A− when plus/minus grades are on. The fraction field keeps it as the unreduced 9/10 so you can see the raw count.
Browse every grading option
The grade options table lists the percentage and letter for every wrong-answer count of the test you entered. Enter 100 questions to see the full 0–100% sweep in one view — handy for writing a grading key.
