To-Do List

To-Do list online app. Type a task, press Add (or Enter), and check it off when you are done. Your list stays in this browser, so it is still there when you come back.

0 of 0 done

Your to-do list is empty. Add your first task above — it stays in this browser only.

    STEP 1

    Write it down

Type a task in the box and press Enter or press Add. Surrounding spaces are cleaned up automatically, and you can add the same wording twice — each task is its own row.

    STEP 2

    Do it, check it off

Tap a task’s checkbox to mark it done — it gets crossed off and the “X of Y done” counter updates. Uncheck it if the task is back on your plate.

    STEP 3

    Delete and come back

Press the Delete button on a row to remove it for good. The list is saved in this browser after every change, so reloading or returning later keeps your tasks and their checked states.

Limits and rules at a glance

    • Each task is at most 500 characters (emoji count as one character); an over-long or blank task is rejected and your text stays in the box.
    • Leading and trailing spaces are trimmed when a task is added; spaces inside the text are kept as typed.
    • Duplicate wordings are allowed — each task is an independent row with its own checkbox and delete button.
    • Tasks are kept in the order you added them; checking or unchecking never reorders the list.
    • The list is saved to this browser’s local storage after every change and restored when you return.

    Frequently asked questions

Where is my to-do list stored?
Only in this browser, using the browser’s own local storage. Nothing you type is uploaded to a server, and the list never leaves this device.
Does it sync to my phone or another device?
No. There is no account and no cloud sync — each browser keeps its own list. This tool has no share service built in.
Can I rename or reorder tasks?
Not in this version. You can add, check off, and delete tasks; to change the wording, delete the row and add it again.
What if the saved list looks wrong or empty?
If the saved copy is unreadable (for example after manual storage edits), the tool starts a fresh empty list and tells you. Nothing crashes and nothing is uploaded.
Why does it say saving is unavailable?
Some private-browsing modes block or limit local storage. The tool keeps working for the current tab and tells you honestly instead of failing silently.
