Screenshot
Take a screenshot of any window, screen, or browser tab right in this page. Crop the result, draw on it, add bold or italic text in any of nineteen fonts, then save it as a WebP or PNG file. The whole capture stays in your browser — nothing is uploaded, and there is nothing to install.
* If required window can't be selected, scroll down or maximize the required window and retry
Press Record, pick a window or tab, and the screenshot appears here.
Screenshots are captured and saved in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Capture the shot
Press Record and pick the window, screen, or browser tab you want in your browser’s own share dialog. The chosen view is grabbed as a still image and shown in the editor below the buttons.
Crop, draw, or add text
Use Select to drag a region and press Crop, Draw to freehand with the pen color and width you pick, or Text to click anywhere and stamp styled text — bold, italic, underlined, any font size and family, in any font color. Press Fullscreen to inspect the image, Clear selection to drop a selection.
Name it and save
Enter the image file name (default: screenshot), pick the type — WEBP or PNG — and press Save. The annotated image downloads straight to your device.
How browser screenshots work
- Does the screenshot leave my device?
- No. The capture uses the browser’s native screen-capture API after you approve its dialog, and the image is drawn, annotated, encoded, and saved entirely in this tab. No pixel is uploaded anywhere.
- WebP or PNG — which type should I save?
- WebP gives you a smaller file for screenshots with photos or gradients; PNG is lossless and the usual choice for sharp UI shots and further editing. The extension of the downloaded file always matches the type you pick.
- The window I want cannot be selected in the picker.
- If the required window can’t be selected, scroll down or maximize the required window and retry — most browsers only list visible, unminimized windows in the share dialog.
- What can I edit on the screenshot?
- Crop it with a drag-select region, freehand-draw strokes in your pen color and width, and stamp text with bold, italic, underline, color, size, and one of nineteen font families. Edits bake into the saved image.
- Why doesn’t Record do anything?
- Screen capture needs a desktop browser that supports the capture dialog (recent Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari) plus your permission in the picker. Cancelling the picker records nothing and you can press Record again; on unsupported browsers the page shows a banner instead.
Privacy: the capture only starts after you grant permission in your browser’s own dialog, and the image is annotated, encoded, and saved in this browser tab. No frames or files are uploaded to a server.
