Scoreboard - Score Counter
A big on-screen scoreboard for any game. Set a game clock in minutes and seconds, name both players or teams, and keep score with large + and − buttons or by typing a number straight into a score box. Extra counters cover periods, fouls or bonus scores, Fullscreen turns the tab into a stadium display, and the counters are saved in your own browser so a refresh does not lose the game.

Important information
When you exit the page, the counters values are saved in the browser's cache. The cache can be deleted if you clear your browser's history or use incognito/private mode!
How to use the scoreboard
- Set time in minutes and seconds.
- Set the names of the players/teams.
- Press Start button to start game.
- Click the score textbox to set the score.
- Click the score textbox to use space.
- Press + button to increment the score.
- Press - button to decrement the score.
- Press × button to reset the score.
Set the clock and the names
Type the game length in minutes and seconds and fill in both player or team names. Seconds over 59 roll into minutes (1:90 becomes 2:30), and empty or negative time fields count as zero.
Start the game and keep score
Start/Pause runs the countdown; Reset only rewinds the clock to the time you set. Tap + or − beside a score, or click the score box and type a number. The × (Reset scores) button zeroes both main scores while names and the clock stay put.
Extend and present
Add Score appends extra counters for scores, periods or fouls, each with its own +, − and reset. Fullscreen enlarges the whole scoreboard (press Esc to leave), and everything you entered is saved in your browser for the next visit.
How the scoreboard works
- What is the difference between Reset and the × button?
- Reset belongs to the clock: it pauses the countdown and restores the minutes and seconds you typed. The × button (Reset scores) belongs to the score: it sets both main scores back to zero and leaves names, clock and extra counters untouched.
- Can I enter a score directly, and can scores go negative?
- Yes — click or tap the big score box and type. Whole numbers of any size are accepted, including negatives for sports with penalty points. Decimals or text are rejected and the previous score is kept, so a stray keystroke never corrupts the game.
- What happens when the clock reaches 0:00?
- The countdown stops at 0:00 and never runs into negative time. Press Start/Pause again to re-arm the clock to the time you configured and continue.
- What are the extra counters for?
- The Add Score button appends free-labelled counters — period numbers, fouls, timeouts, bonus points — each with its own +, − and reset control, so one screen can carry everything a table official needs.
- Are my scores saved, and where do they go?
- Counter values, names and the clock setting are stored in your own browser’s local storage — nothing is uploaded to a server. Clearing your browser data or using incognito/private mode removes them, and the running clock itself is never saved.
Privacy: the scoreboard runs entirely in your browser tab — scores are kept in local storage and nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
