Multiplication Calculator
Two numbers in, their product out. Type a first factor and a second factor, press Calculate, and the answer shows up in a card below the button.
What this tool does
This calculator multiplies two numbers. You type one value into the First factor field, another into the Second factor field, and then press the Calculate button. Nothing is worked out before you press it.
The product appears in a card under the button. Copy puts that result and its unit on your clipboard, and Clear resets the form so you can start on a new pair.
The two factors can be whole numbers or decimals, positive or negative: 12 × 15 = 180, and -7.5 × 2 = -15.
Multiplication formula
The tool follows a single rule: first factor × second factor = product. The two numbers you enter are the factors, and the answer they produce is the product.
In 0.25 × 0.5 = 0.125 the factors are 0.25 and 0.5, and the product is 0.125.
If either factor is zero, the product is zero, as in 0 × 99.5 = 0.
Large and small results
The worked examples span a wide range, from 0.1 × 0.2 = 0.02 up to 123456789 × 987654321 = 121932631112635269.
Each row below pairs the two factors you enter with the product the tool returns, so you can compare your own numbers against a known answer.
