Milliampere-hours to Ampere-hours Conversion
One milliampere-hour is one thousandth of an ampere-hour, so a charge given in milliamp-hours turns into amp-hours by dividing by 1000. Enter a value and press Convert to get the result right away.
Milliampere-hours and ampere-hours
Both units measure electric charge. The milliampere-hour is the smaller of the two: exactly 1/1000 of an ampere-hour, which also means one ampere-hour equals 1000 milliampere-hours.
Because the relationship is a plain factor of one thousand, a charge of 1000 mAh and a charge of 1 Ah describe the same amount of charge, only written in different units.
Using the converter
Type the charge in milliampere-hours into the input and press Convert. The ampere-hour value appears in a card below the buttons, and you can copy it or clear the field to run another conversion.
mAh to Ah formula
To get the charge Q(Ah) in ampere-hours, divide the milliampere-hour figure Q(mAh) by 1000:
Q(Ah) = Q(mAh) / 1000
For example, converting 3 milliampere-hours gives Q(Ah) = 3 mAh / 1000 = 0.003 Ah.
| Milliampere-hours (mAh) | Ampere-hours (Ah) |
|---|---|
| 0 mAh | 0 Ah |
| 1 mAh | 0.001 Ah |
| 10 mAh | 0.01 Ah |
| 100 mAh | 0.1 Ah |
| 1000 mAh | 1 Ah |
| 10000 mAh | 10 Ah |
| 100000 mAh | 100 Ah |
| 1000000 mAh | 1000 Ah |
