The list of 100 ranked girl names is bundled with this page — search, paging and favorites all run in this browser tab and nothing is uploaded. Rankings are our own snapshot of mainstream US name popularity, not an official registry.
Search or browse
Type letters like "ella" to instantly filter all 100 names (case-insensitive, matches anywhere in the name), or clear the search and page through the ranked list ten names at a time.
Mark your favorites
Click any row (or its checkbox) to select a name. Selected rows stay selected while you search and page around, and the status line counts them.
Put favorites first
Tick "Show selected names first" and the selected names move to the top of the current results in rank order, with the rest following. Untick it to return to plain rank order.
How the list works
- Where do these names and rankings come from?
- It is our own bundled snapshot of a mainstream US popularity top-100 (2023 vintage) for baby girls, compiled for this tool. It is a curated library, not an official registry feed, and rankings move over the years as new data is published.
- How does the search match?
- A search shows every name that contains your letters anywhere, ignoring capitalization — "ava" finds Ava, and "ISABELLA" finds Isabella. Matching is plain text, not regex, and there is no accent folding. Whitespace-only searches show the full list.
- What exactly does "Show selected names first" do?
- It splits the current results into two blocks: your selected names (in rank order), then everything else (in rank order). Selections hidden by the current search stay selected and rejoin when the filter clears; with nothing selected, the toggle changes nothing.
- Why are the navigation buttons greyed out?
- Start and Previous disable on the first page; Next and End disable on the last. When a search has one result page (or no matches at all), every button in both the top and bottom bars is disabled, and the bars always mirror each other.
- Is my browsing or selection saved or uploaded?
- No. The list ships with the page and all filtering, paging, and selecting happen in this browser tab — no requests are made. Your selections are in-memory only: a page reload starts fresh, and nothing about your visit is stored.
Privacy: the name library is bundled with this page; search, paging, and favorites run in your browser tab only and never upload anything. Selections are not persisted after a reload.
