Coulombs to Microcoulombs Conversion
This tool changes a charge given in coulombs into its equivalent in microcoulombs. Type the value, press Convert, then copy the result or clear it for a new calculation.
About the coulomb and the microcoulomb
The coulomb (C) and the microcoulomb (µC) are both units used to measure electric charge. The microcoulomb is one-millionth of a coulomb, so 1 C = 1000000 µC, and going the other way 1 µC = 0.000001 C.
Because the microcoulomb is the smaller unit, a charge written in coulombs turns into a much larger number when written in microcoulombs. This calculator performs that change for you: enter the charge in coulombs, press Convert, and read off the result in microcoulombs.
Coulombs to microcoulombs formula
The charge in microcoulombs is equal to the charge in coulombs multiplied by 1000000: Q(µC) = Q(C) × 1000000.
For example, converting 3 coulombs gives Q(µC) = 3 C × 1000000 = 3000000 µC.
| Charge (coulomb) | Charge (microcoulomb) |
|---|---|
| 0 C | 0 µC |
| 0.000001 C | 1 µC |
| 0.00001 C | 10 µC |
| 0.0001 C | 100 µC |
| 0.001 C | 1000 µC |
| 0.01 C | 10000 µC |
| 0.1 C | 100000 µC |
| 1 C | 1000000 µC |
