Coulombs to Ampere-hours Conversion
Use this converter to restate an electric charge given in coulombs as the same charge in ampere-hours. Enter the number of coulombs, press Convert, and the ampere-hour equivalent appears right away.
How to convert coulombs to ampere-hours
Type the electrical charge in coulombs into the input field and press Convert. The result is that same charge expressed in ampere-hours. Copy puts the figure on your clipboard and Clear empties the field so you can run the next value.
A coulomb is very small next to an ampere-hour, so most results are short decimals: even a charge of ten thousand coulombs comes to a little under three ampere-hours. A charge of 100 C is only about 0.028 Ah.
Coulombs to ampere-hours formula
To get the charge in ampere-hours, divide the number of coulombs by 3600. The conversion factor is 1 C = 1/3600 Ah, or about 0.00027778 Ah. The other way round, 1 Ah = 3600 C.
Written out: Q(Ah) = Q(C) / 3600. For example, converting three coulombs gives 3 / 3600, which is roughly 0.0008333 ampere-hours.
