- Scaling Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning for Brain Encoding
Brain encoding models aim to predict neural responses to stimuli. The most widely used approach fits readouts from frozen pretrained backbones. Using neural data to train large models from scratch or fully fine-tune them after task-pretraining has proven difficult because neural data is costly and limited. We show that parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT) enables us to effectively adapt very large pretrained backbones for brain encoding with a small number of trainable parameters. To make it computationally practical, we exploit the backbone's causal structure to predict multiple timepoints in a single pass instead of using sliding windows, significantly reducing feature-extraction cost. This enables efficient fine-tuning of multimodal backbones with up to 104B parameters, the largest model adapted for brain encoding to our knowledge. Trained with a low-rank adapter (LoRA) and a lightweight readout, our approach consistently improves brain encoding performance across nine diverse multimodal backbones. On the same Qwen3-Omni backbone as the prior state-of-the-art (SoTA), our method BrainLoRA achieves the best published performance on the Algonauts 2025 Challenge. We also show the adapted multimodal backbones remain interpretable: modality attribution recovers the canonical sensory topography that prior work often obtains by construction from separate unimodal encoders, and neural adaptation increases the contribution of audio inputs and cross-modal mixing within the backbone. To scale out the number of adapted models, we develop a multi-LoRA kernel that accelerates joint training of multiple LoRAs on a shared backbone. This enables an ensemble of 200+ adapted models that ranks first on the public Algonauts post-challenge leaderboard at the time of writing. Together, our results highlight PEFT as an efficient and powerful paradigm for brain encoding.
- MemT-1.0: Towards Memory-Native Evolution
Memory-native evolution requires making memory an intrinsic capability of foundation models, enabling them to continuously accumulate and utilize information. To this end, we introduce MemT-1.0, a new architecture of memory foundation models that internalize memory as part of model computation. Building on Metis, MemT-1.0 employs Gated DeltaNet-2 with a stable token-level memory update mechanism within each turn. We further introduce Mixture-of-Storage to scale native memory capacity. Following a deliberate backbone preparation, we develop a two-stage training pipeline consisting of continued pre-training and post-training, supported by 34B tokens of training data and efficient training and inference infrastructure. We release a model family comprising MemT-1.0-Nano and MemT-1.0-Flash, and conduct a comprehensive evaluation of memory and general capabilities. The results show that they outperform the parametric memory baselines on average and remain competitive with retrieval-augmented methods, while largely preserving general capabilities. At a history length of 128K tokens, MemT-1.0-Nano achieves approximately 1.86times end-to-end inference speedup and a 66times reduction in persistent storage relative to full context KV cache. By internalizing retrieved procedural experience, MemT-1.0 improves task success on agentic tasks, providing a practical step toward memory-native evolution.
- Holi-World: Building Holistic World Intelligence from Human-Ego Experience
Human egocentric experience offers a rich foundation for learning how the world is organized and how it changes through interaction. Realizing this potential at scale requires turning growing volumes of recordings into learning resources that connect scene structure, object semantics, and interaction histories across viewpoints and time, while reducing dependence on costly manual annotation. We introduce HOLI-WORLD, an integrated ecosystem connecting experience capture, world representation, automated data construction, model learning, and independent evaluation. To sup- port learning at scale, HOLIWORLD-Foundry combines complementary static and dynamic perception to automatically construct world records that connect persistent scene structure and evolving object states with interaction histories and supporting observations. HOLIWORLD-Data organizes these records from approximately 100 self-collected scenes into grounded learning resources, including approximately 80K QA pairs used to train HOLIWORLD-VL-4B. Independent human annotations of heldout recordings form HOLIWORLD-Bench, supporting evaluation of both annotation quality and learned spatial and temporal understanding. Experiments on ScanNet, ScanNet++, Aria Digital Twin, and HOLIWORLD-Bench demonstrate strong performance in static perception and dynamic tracking, while training on HOLIWORLD-Data substantially improves HOLIWORLD-VL-4B's spatial and temporal reasoning on HOLI- WORLD-Bench and EgoDynamic4D. HOLIWORLD provides a practical foundation for expanding learning resources from the continuous flow of human experience and advancing machine understanding of the dynamic world.
- Learning from Fleet Experience: A Collective Learning Paradigm for Robots
Experience generated during deployment offers an opportunity for robots to improve policy reliability through learning from their own executions. However, learning through human corrections requires teleoperators to monitor execution and intervene when policies fail, a demand that is difficult to meet as robot fleets grow. We introduce collective experience learning (CEL), a learning paradigm in which deployed robots share their execution experience to improve a common policy. We realize CEL through failure-guided experience retrieval fine-tuning (FERT), which uses failure contexts from robot executions to retrieve relevant trajectory segments from the fleet's shared successful experience and uses their actions as supervision for policy updates, without collecting additional expert demonstrations or corrective actions. A fault-tolerant asynchronous training system (FATS) coordinates experience collection, policy optimization and policy distribution despite local interruptions within the robot fleet. Across five real-world manipulation tasks, the resulting policies achieve success rates of 93.3-99.2%, evaluated over 120 trials per task on robots excluded from training data collection. With collection time per robot held fixed, larger fleets provide more experience and FERT generally achieves higher success rates across the evaluated sizes. On multi-stage phone packaging, learning with 96 robots increases success from 79.2% to 98.3%. These results support collective experience as a practical basis for scalable robot learning and a path towards improving policy reliability during deployment without collecting additional expert corrective actions.
- SpecMRL: Redesign Matryoshka Representation Learning within Parametric Spectrum
Matryoshka Representation Learning (MRL) is designed to support flexible representation sizes by jointly optimizing nested prefixes. While effective, this design lacks an explicit constraint to ensure that the leading portion provides a suitable compact encoding. To address this, we propose SpecMRL, which reorganizes the feature space to enable more effective prefix readout. Specifically, we extend MRL with a parameter-derived spectral basis organized with feature importance. SpecMRL otherwise follows standard MRL, with prefix readout performed in the learned spectral space. Experiments on MTEB show that SpecMRL outperforms MRL at all evaluated reduced dimensions, with larger gains under more aggressive compression. These results suggest that the learned spectral basis better prioritizes informative directions, enabling more effective representation compression. Notably, SpecMRL extends the performance frontier of MRL, surpassing full-dimensional MRL with only half the embedding dimensions.
- Kronecker Delta Rule for Long Context Linear Attention
We propose KronLSTM, a linear attention architecture based on the Kronecker Delta Rule, a novel update rule for associative matrix memories. KronLSTM extends the xLSTM family with a memory-revision mechanism that corrects targeted associations while modifying the memory only along a single direction in matrix space. This minimally invasive memory revision reduces interference with previously stored information compared with delta-rule updates, making it particularly well suited for long-context language modeling. The resulting memory dynamics can be mathematically described as a Markov chain that converges to a steady-state distribution, while the expected norm of the memory matrix remains uniformly bounded throughout the entire input sequence. Hence, KronLSTM ensures stable memory dynamics without requiring additional normalization and stabilization mechanisms for the memory state. Experiments show that KronLSTM is competitive with, and often outperforms, existing linear attention architectures, including models of the (Gated) DeltaNet family, with particularly strong performance on long context benchmarks. These results establish the Kronecker Delta Rule as an effective and analytically tractable foundation for stable associative memory in recurrent linear attention architectures. Our code (https://github.com/NX-AI/KronLSTM) and models (https://huggingface.co/collections/NX-AI/kronlstm) are open-source.
- AdaExploreBench: Benchmarking LLM Agents for Proactive Exploration and Test-time Adaptation in Evolving Environments
Large Language Model (LLM) agents are increasingly deployed in unfamiliar and evolving environments, requiring them to proactively explore, understand, and adapt to environmental dynamics. However, existing benchmarks rarely test whether agents can proactively discover how an environment works and adapt as it evolves. To address this gap, we introduce AdaExploreBench, a benchmark for proactive exploration and test-time adaptation in evolving environments. By instantiating environmental dynamics as hidden rules, AdaExploreBench requires agents to actively acquire evidence and infer the rules. Under implicit rule drift, the latent rule changes without announcement, requiring agents to detect from degraded performance that prior knowledge is stale and re-explore. Experiments on eight leading LLMs show that proactive and adaptive exploration remain challenging: GPT-6 Sol achieves only 61.9% calibrated accuracy, while providing sufficient evidence or removing rule drift improves average performance significantly by close to 10%. These results reveal a critical bottleneck in current LLM agents: they can often reason effectively from informative evidence once it is available, but struggle to actively acquire the right evidence and recognize when previously acquired evidence is no longer valid.
- MemPilot: Orchestrating On-Demand Multimodal Memory Curation for LLM Agents
Memory has become integral to the LLM agent ecosystem, supporting information retention and reuse across interactions. However, most existing agent memory systems construct memory in a query-agnostic manner, which can incur unnecessary preprocessing cost and discard details that later prove essential. Recent studies have begun shifting memory processing toward runtime adaptation, but typically specialize in particular operations or fixed processing schemes, leaving flexible control over performance, cost, and latency largely underexplored. To address this challenge, we present MemPilot, a flexible framework that orchestrates on-demand memory curation under different performance--cost--latency preferences. Specifically, we optimize a multi-step LLM policy via reinforcement learning to iteratively choose between retrieving from query-agnostic memory and delegating query-specific curation of raw multimodal history to heterogeneous LLMs and VLMs. The policy jointly controls evidence amount, curation instructions, model selection, and visual access, enabling fine-grained allocation of runtime computation. To optimize this policy under competing objectives, we adapt objective-wise advantage decoupling by separately estimating each objective's advantage before aggregation. Moreover, we introduce prefix-based marginal utility estimation for fine-grained credit assignment across multi-step rollouts. Experiments on five multimodal agent-memory benchmarks demonstrate favorable performance--cost--latency trade-offs across optimization preferences, with preference sweeps yielding broader frontiers than existing trade-off-aware baselines.
- InfiniDream: Open-Ended Photorealistic 3D Worlds Through Procedural Generation
Procedural generation plays a key role in synthetic data creation and game development, offering greater controllability, editability, and diversity than static mesh representations. However, VLM-based code generation often produces relatively simple 3D assets, while sophisticated photorealistic procedural systems require extensive manual development. Existing VLM-guided procedural methods remain largely constrained by predefined factories and APIs, limiting their ability to create novel asset types. We introduce InfiniDream, a VLM-driven framework for open-ended procedural 3D world generation. First, we propose Symbolically Constrained Asset Generation, which leverages existing procedural algorithms to create novel, photorealistic assets while preserving editability and seed-based diversity. Second, we develop an end-to-end text-to-world pipeline that combines semantic scene planning with Deterministic Frustum-Guided Grid Placement to construct large-scale 3D worlds with precise object placement, procedural population, and animation. Extensive evaluations on 100 object and 20 scene generation tasks demonstrate improvements across four perceptual metrics. Diversity analysis, ablation studies, and human preference evaluations further validate the effectiveness of our framework. Project page: https://yichuanh.github.io/infinidream-page/
- RoboValue: A Fine-Grained Sim-and-Real Benchmark for Unified Evaluation of Robotic Value Models
Robotic value models assess task execution from visual observations and instructions, providing feedback for policy learning and execution monitoring. However, existing evaluations cover only selected aspects of execution understanding, leaving the reliability of value feedback insufficiently tested. We introduce RoboValue, a fine-grained sim-and-real benchmark for unified evaluation of robotic value models. Its framework evaluates four complementary capability dimensions through shared interfaces: task-state understanding, temporal progress monitoring, failure and recovery reasoning, and value consistency. Diagnostic trajectories and instruction variations test whether value judgments accurately reflect task requirements and changes throughout execution. RoboValue-Dataset covers 15 simulation and 20 real-world manipulation tasks, providing expert demonstrations for training and annotated trajectories for fine-grained evaluation. We evaluate representative robotic value models in zero-shot and one-shot settings under standard conditions and separate shifts in robot embodiment and environment. Our results reveal errors in fine-grained instruction grounding, history-dependent progress tracking, and recovery assessment, even in models with strong outcome and forward-progress scores. The same semantic subtask can also receive substantially different value gains across valid execution orders. These findings identify concrete targets for value supervision, while the dataset and public leaderboard support continued assessment of feedback reliability. - Manga2Animate: An Agentic Framework for Faithful Manga Animation with Script and Storyboard Planning
Adapting existing manga into coherent animation that stays faithful to the source is a valuable yet challenging task. Existing methods either access the manga mainly through text, losing its characters and art style, or feed manga pages directly into video generation models, which misinterpret the manga's structure and produce incorrect storylines. In this paper, we propose Manga2Animate, a multi-agent framework that grounds every stage of generation in the source manga. We decompose the task into two intermediate representations, an animation script and a visual storyboard. Each representation is produced by a creator agent and reviewed against the source panels by a paired reviewer agent. We tailor representation-specific selection and dual-level feedback to progressively refine both before synthesizing the final animation. Extensive experiments and a user study demonstrate that Manga2Animate produces animations more faithful to the source manga and more consistent across shots than state-of-the-art approaches. - BlenderWorld: Benchmarking Visual Agents for 3D Creation from Real-World References
Recent advances in multimodal large language models (MLLMs) have enabled them to act as autonomous agents, creating and editing 3D models via code or direct software manipulation. In practical workflows, these models must infer object shapes, materials, spatial layouts, and lighting from diverse references while strictly following instructions to reconstruct, modify, or design 3D content. However, existing benchmarks provide limited coverage of such open-ended requests across real-world scenarios. To bridge this gap, we introduce BlenderWorld, the first comprehensive benchmark dedicated to evaluating frontier models on realistic 3D creation tasks. BlenderWorld comprises 223 tasks spanning architecture, products, natural environments, and scientific visualization, driven by text, image, video, and structured specification inputs. To rigorously assess these complex deliverables, we establish a unified evaluation protocol: we render the submitted Blender projects from multiple viewpoints and evaluate them against 2,651 task-specific binary rubrics alongside holistic visual quality scores. Benchmarking thirteen frontier models reveals that GPT-6-Astra achieves the highest overall fused score of 79.9, followed by Opus-5 (73.0) and GPT-5.6-Sol (67.7). Ultimately, our findings reveal a critical bottleneck: while current models can parse broad instructions, they still profoundly struggle with fine-grained 3D spatial coherence and accurate structural reproduction in Blender, leaving substantial headroom for future 3D-native agentics.
- FineSplat: Fine Patches, Local Groups, Detailed Splats
Feed-forward 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) promises instant scene reconstruction with high-quality novel-view synthesis. Yet, fine-grained geometry and appearance remain difficult to recover, motivating us to revisit how feed-forward models represent, aggregate, and refine detailed visual information. We introduce FineSplat, a feed-forward 3DGS framework built around fine-grained image patches. Since global multi-view attention becomes prohibitively expensive at such high token resolutions, we develop a dual-grouping strategy that combines two complementary forms of locality: view-wise grouping enables efficient interaction among neighboring views, while 3D spatial grouping reconnects geometrically related tokens that may never have interacted under view-wise grouping by lifting them into the 3D scene space. We further leverage reconstruction error as direct feedback, providing an explicit rendering-based signal to recover fine-grained structures and appearance, thereby overcoming the limitations of one-pass feed-forward prediction. Finally, a compact Gaussian generation scheme preserves the benefits of fine-grained features without unnecessarily increasing the number of primitives. Together, these designs enable FineSplat to recover richer geometry and appearance while remaining efficient and compact, achieving state-of-the-art results by a substantial margin, under the same or smaller Gaussian budgets than existing methods.
- AffordanceWAM: Affordance-Aware Joint World-Action Modeling for Robot Manipulation
Generalizable robot manipulation requires predicting how a scene will evolve, identifying where interactions are feasible, and determining how to act. Action-labeled robot videos directly supervise control but are costly and limited in diversity, whereas egocentric human videos capture diverse interactions but lack robot actions and differ in embodiment and appearance. We introduce AffordanceWAM, an affordance-aware generative World Action Model that represents object-centric spatiotemporal affordance through Scalar Affordance and Affordance Heatmap, within the generated future World. This representation grounds visual prediction in task-relevantant objects and interaction regions for action generation, and provides shared interaction targets across human and robot videos. Built on a pretrained video diffusion Transformer, AffordanceWAM uses separately parameterized World and Action Experts, coupled through Masked Joint Self-Attention, to jointly predict future RGB observations, Scalar Affordance fields, Affordance Heatmaps, and continuous robot actions under a unified flow-matching objective. Human videos supervise all three future-World streams, whereas robot trajectories additionally provide action supervision, enabling transfer without human action labels or retargeting. Experiments on RoboCasa, CALVIN ABCrightarrowD, and real-world manipulation demonstrate consistent gains over RGB-only and robot-data-only baselines. Under fixed robot supervision, RoboCasa performance improves monotonically as affordance-annotated human video scales. These results support affordance as an effective interface for both vision-language-action learning and human-to-robot transfer.
- Where is Physical RSI capability from? An Observational Scaling Law of LLM-as-policy
In this paper, we systematically investigate the mechanisms, scaling behavior, and generalization of physical Recursive self-improvement. We introduce PhysRSI-eval to quantify physical RSI through a five-axis metric: First-Attempt Performance, Efficiency, Success, Budget and Improvement from failure. Different VLMs are evaluated on 18 manipulation tasks under a fixed interaction budget. The analysis of experimental results motivates the Physical Barrel Hypothesis: different capabilities may constrain different parts of improvement. The five-axis metrics also distinguish systems with close public benchmark averages and show that high scores need not come with early or efficient gains. We study observational scaling from two perspectives: predicting the relative performance of VLM agents from their public capabilities, and forecasting later progress from early physical feedback. Together, these analyses ask how quickly and how far an agent can improve. Moreover, we conduct workspace interventions and then analyze what improvement leaves behind. Removing history reduces late-round success, frozen workspaces remain useful on unseen layouts, and three cross-task cases achieve success earlier. The results suggest that scene-specific adaptation and reusable experience can coexist.

AI slop
