  1. Decoupled Predictive Decision Making: A Shared Conditional Predictor for Agents

Agent decisions depend on empirical relationships that deployment observations reveal and task descriptions alone may leave unresolved. We introduce Decoupled Predictive Decision Making (DPDM), an architecture that formulates heterogeneous agent decisions as conditional prediction with a shared pretrained learner. Language models provide semantic representations of current and historical records, while a general-purpose conditional predictor predicts task-defined targets from the represented evidence. Pretraining supplies reusable inference capability; deployment evidence instantiates problem-specific predictions without updating either model's neural parameters. Tool judgments, candidate preferences, and reasoning assessments share an evidence-and-query interface, with predictions mapped to choices by a decision rule. This architecture establishes complementary sources of agent capability: semantic knowledge acquired through language pretraining and empirical inference acquired through structured-data pretraining. A single frozen LimiX-2 predictor serves all five task categories. With Qwen3.5-27B as the semantic encoder, DPDM raises mean accuracy across 50 benchmarks from 78.80% with few-shot prompting to 84.92% under their respective evaluated history budgets, and reaches 82.33% with identical histories and queries. On ToolPRMBench's BFCL and ToolSandbox tasks, absolute accuracy gains are 34.26% and 28.87%, respectively, at the methods' respective evaluated history budgets. Accuracy improves as history grows. With identical imbalanced histories, mean balanced accuracy improves by an absolute 14.51% across five reasoning-step assessment tasks and four encoders. DPDM makes learning from experience an independently improvable foundation-model capability, creating a shared route for advances in conditional prediction to improve decisions across agent tasks.

  2. VFlash: Fast, Accurate Visual Planning via Flash Primitive Decoding

Models for physical AI tasks, such as robotics and autonomous driving, need not reason solely in language. They can use visual plans--points, bounding boxes, and trajectories--to represent spatial goals and anticipate motion. However, autoregressive vision-language models generate these plans one coordinate token at a time, making richer predictions increasingly costly. We introduce VFlash, a method for fast, accurate visual planning through Flash Primitive Decoding. VFlash exploits the known structure of visual primitives to predict their coordinates jointly, using a lightweight drafter that generates an entire primitive in one forward pass. The layout adapts to the primitive's type, dimensionality, and length, supporting compact boxes and long, variable-length trajectories. Crucially, spatial accuracy need not require reproducing an autoregressive model's exact token sequence. VFlash therefore trains on annotated primitives and directly accepts structurally valid predictions without target-token agreement. Across the evaluated 2D and 3D robot trajectory tasks, VFlash consistently reduces prediction errors relative to autoregressive decoding. Preliminary single-rollout measurements indicate approximately 25x faster generation for 3D point motion forecasting. A world action model conditioned on VFlash plans achieves 70.2% average success across four MolmoSpaces task suites, compared with 62.6% for the baseline.

  3. Harness-S: Learning from Sibling Harnesses for Generalizable Agent Training

Harness evolution from a common base exhibits Locality, Complementarity, and Nonstationarity: variants repair different failures, and their utility changes as the policy learns. Rather than seeking a universally superior harness, we introduce Harness-S to selectively rescue failures of a base execution system through sibling harnesses and transfer the resulting capabilities into a single policy that remains effective under the original harness. Directional Harness Evolution develops specialized sibling harnesses along distinct repair directions, forming a reusable Sibling Harness Pool that remains fixed during policy training. Complementary Harness Rescue Training invokes this pool only when all initial attempts under the base harness fail. The same policy generates fresh rollouts under selected auxiliary harnesses, and these trajectories replace the failed group for reinforcement learning. An Adaptive Harness Router selects the Top-k variants using Harness Behavior Profiles and voting across multiple LLMs. Policy-aware profile re-anchoring refreshes this evidence as the policy learns. Across AppWorld, SWE-Gym, and DBBench, the trained policy substantially outperforms policy-only training when returned to the original base harness. Behavioral analyses and held-out cases support the transfer of harness-elicited behaviors into the policy itself. Reusing the router for Rank-1 inference provides additional gains at the same executor rollout count.

  4. Random Is Almost Enough? Stable and Low-Cost Benchmark Compression via BestRand

Benchmark compression reduces the often prohibitive time and cost of model evaluation by evaluating models on a small benchmark subset that closely matches full-benchmark results. To quantify estimation error, we derive an accurate analytical approximation to the error distribution when estimating full-benchmark scores from a subset, showing that most subsets yield small errors, while a few produce much larger errors, resulting in a long-tailed distribution. This means random sampling alone can achieve surprisingly strong performance with high probability, but remains unstable due to rare large errors. We further show that this instability is inherent to modern foundation models and persists even as more models are evaluated. Based on these findings, we introduce BestRand, a stable and low-cost benchmark compression method that preserves the efficiency of random sampling while substantially reducing its high-error tail. We validate BestRand on 70+ text, multimodal, and agent benchmarks, and further extend it to VLA evaluation. Compared with competitive methods, BestRand reduces high-error risk by 50.2% and estimation error by 16.4% on average, while requiring only 51.3% of the construction cost. It further reduces OOD estimation error by 21.8% on average across score-range, model-family, and temporal shifts. Together, our theory provides practical guidance for understanding and predicting the accuracy and reliability of benchmark compression, while BestRand enables stable and accurate compression at low cost. The code and data are publicly available onhttps://github.com/George-Ling3/BestRand.

  5. SLA: Scaling Spatial-Language-Action Model via Continual Pre-training

Reliable robotic manipulation requires both semantic understanding and precise control in three-dimensional space. However, vision-language-action (VLA) foundations largely inherit visual representations from 2D vision-language pre-training, while spatial supervision is often introduced only during task-specific adaptation. Developing spatial understanding as a transferable foundation-model capability therefore calls for learning from broader robot experience. We present SLA, a Spatial-Language-Action Model that scales implicit spatial alignment to continual pre-training and maintains it during downstream post-training. Initialized from a pretrained pi05 policy, SLA jointly optimizes action prediction and alignment between intermediate visual embeddings and spatial representations from a frozen 3D perception model. We curate and unify heterogeneous robot datasets to support spatial learning across diverse embodiments, tasks, and scenes. To accommodate this diversity, we introduce feature-dependent gates that adaptively aggregate visual embeddings from multiple VLA layers for spatial supervision. The teacher further exploits partially available depth and camera calibration alongside RGB observations, enabling effective use of heterogeneous geometric annotations. Probabilistic state dropout encourages reliance on visual cues and mitigates overfitting to demonstration trajectories. All auxiliary components are used only during training, allowing direct reuse of pretrained VLA weights and preserving the original inference architecture.

  6. WeLM-Image: A Unified Image Generation Model towards Visual Intelligence

We present WeLM-Image, a unified image foundation model that integrates multimodal understanding into text-to-image generation, instruction-guided editing, and multi-reference synthesis. Designed for single-GPU deployment in WeChat's large-scale consumer applications, the model processes text, reference images, and target latents as one interleaved sequence. A Mixture-of-Transformers (MoT) backbone combines shared attention with independent understanding and generation parameters to limit optimization interference. Equipping each path with Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) modules provides sparse capacity, with 31.7B stored parameters and approximately 5.4B generation parameters activated per target latent token. A generation-oriented data engine combines a knowledge-grounded visual vocabulary with large-scale visual clustering to balance semantic coverage and editing tasks, while training-time evaluation guides iterative data refinement. Bilingual annotations and verified editing supervision support progressive training up to native 1.5K resolution. We optimize generation and editing separately with rubric- and checklist-based rewards, then consolidate the specialized policies through noise-aware on-policy distillation. In the reported overall comparisons, the 1536-resolution model ranks first among the evaluated open-source models on PRISM-Bench, Qwen-Image-Bench, and UnicBench. MeanFlow-based few-step distillation yields WeLM-Image-Turbo, which generates a 1024times1024 image in 4.98\,s on a single NVIDIA H20 GPU using eight guidance-free steps.

  7. TailSteer: Trajectory-Tail Steering for Drift-Resistant Multi-turn Image Editing

Strong single-turn editing performance does not guarantee reliable multi-turn interaction: as edited outputs are repeatedly reused, small unintended changes can accumulate into severe visual drift. This long-term drift is often mitigated through training on multi-turn data or cross-turn rollouts, potentially altering pretrained priors, or through specialized inference-time mechanisms that are difficult to scale to foundation models. We introduce TailSteer, a final-stage training framework that improves multi-turn robustness while retaining the generative and editing capabilities acquired through earlier training. TailSteer follows a simple principle: keep early denoising dynamics close to those of the base model and concentrate preservation corrections near the trajectory tail, where fine-grained deviations can be suppressed. These corrections are learned from the editor's own on-policy denoising rollouts, using unchanged source content as a preservation reference without requiring curated ground-truth editing pairs. Experiments across the FLUX, SenseNova, and Qwen families show that TailSteer substantially reduces cumulative drift over 15-20 editing turns while largely preserving base-model performance on extensive text-to-image and single-image editing benchmarks. These results demonstrate that long-horizon editing robustness can be unlocked in foundation models after TailSteer, rather than by relearning their existing capabilities.

  8. EvoMemState: Evolving Memory State for Personal Agents

Long-term memory enables large language model (LLM) agents to provide continuous personalized assistance by retaining user information across interactions. Existing systems support this process through fact extraction, organization, updating, and retrieval, but largely maintain memories as independent facts. This fact-centric paradigm may overlook how new facts update, constrain, or conflict with earlier ones, while leaving their applicability, role, and priority for the current request implicit. In this paper, we introduce EvoMemState, a state-centric framework that augments persistent facts with two complementary states: Relational States that capture how facts remain valid and relate to one another as memory evolves, and a Reasoning State that determines how these facts should be applied to the current request. Specifically, EvoMemState consists of three key components: (i) Ontology-Guided Memory State Induction extracts Persistent Facts and constructs Relational States that maintain their validity, scope, and evolving relations. (ii) RL-Based State Evolution internalizes memory-use experience into a policy through reinforcement learning to generate a request-specific Reasoning State. (iii) State-Aware Reasoning then combines the relevant facts with their Relational States and the generated Reasoning State to guide the personal agent. Extensive experiments on long-term dialogue and memory-use benchmarks demonstrate consistent improvements over existing memory systems in retrieval completeness and memory-grounded response accuracy. Our code and implementation details are available at https://github.com/XMUDeepLIT/EvoMemState.git.

  9. Towards Foundation Decision Models: Drex

Autoregressive approaches with large language models, such as long chain-of-thought reasoning, have become the default for new AI applications because they reach higher accuracy on a wide range of tasks. In production, however, they give inconsistent answers, require parsing of outputs, and add cost and latency. Decision models address this: given a question and a set of options supplied by the user, they return a probability distribution over the options without autoregressive decoding. We present Drex, a family of four open decision models with 8B (DLM), 9B (v1.5), 35B with 3B active (v2.0), and 27B (Max) parameters. Each request consists of a state (a document, record, or agent context, optionally with images) and questions about it, each asking for a choice among options, a yes/no judgment, or a score on an ordered scale. Training combines supervised fine-tuning with reinforcement learning from adjusted feedback (RLAF), plus vision tuning for Max. Ablations show that RLAF improves accuracy and that consistency losses improve robustness to option order. On Decision Index 0.4.1, Max sets a new state of the art among the decision models we compare (67.52 on the public suite vs. 60.70 for Jev 1.14.0). On Decision Bench v4, it is statistically tied with d3-turbo and GPT-6 Sol and trails Claude Opus 5.5 by 1.6 points, and it has the highest accuracy among decision models on DecideBench. Max answers a typical request in 183 ms, against about 2.0 s for GPT-6 Sol and 3.5 s for Claude Opus 5.5, and its outputs are stable under option reordering. All four models are open source: https://github.com/nace-ai/drex-decision-models

  10. VisSearch-Bench: Evaluating Long Horizon Visual Search in Multimodal Agents

Multimodal agents use web and image tools to answer questions beyond their internal knowledge. Some search tasks use images mainly to identify an initial entity, then rely on text retrieval. These tasks offer limited insight into how agents connect information across images, objects, and search steps. We therefore focus on visual context management. This involves organizing and using visual information and linking it to other findings during search. Visually intensive tasks require agents to combine object appearance, local details, or spatial relations with external information. We introduce VisSearch-Bench, with 204 human-written tasks across 7 main domains and 25 subdomains. It covers Set-wise Visual Search, Sequential Visual Search, Hybrid Wide-Deep Search, Competitive Visual Disambiguation, and Visual-Structure-Guided Search. Each task provides a reference answer, traceable evidence, and scoring rules. Accuracy measures complete task success, while Process Score measures the correctness and completeness of individual results and subquestion answers. Across 16 multimodal models, the best system fully solves only 26.47% of tasks, even with search tools. These results highlight the challenge of linking visual evidence with search results to produce complete answers.

  11. Open-HumanScale: An Open Recipe for Scaling Human and Robot Experience for Embodied Foundation Models

Egocentric human video offers a scalable source of manipulation priors for robot learning, yet translating raw data scale into generalizable robot policies demands rigorous data curation and training recipes. We introduce Open-HumanScale, the first fully open recipe for scaling egocentric pretraining to 50,000 hours, anchored by Open-HumanScale-50K---a curated egocentric video corpus densely annotated with hand motion and natural language. Leveraging this corpus, we systematically investigate pure human pretraining via closed-loop simulation evaluations and uncover an empirical log-linear scaling law linking pretraining data hours to downstream robot success rates. Grounded in these findings, we develop HumanWAM-Vanilla, a world--action model pretrained exclusively on 50k hours of egocentric human video. Upon robot post-training, HumanWAM-Vanilla reaches 92.08% success on RoboTwin 2.0 Clean2Clean and 68.88% on Clean2Random, alongside a 14.17% mean success rate and a 19.00 mean progress score on RoboDojo. To push the capability frontier further, we explore joint human--robot pretraining with HumanWAM-Goal, a visual-goal-conditioned world--action model. Hybrid data scaling unlocks broad zero-shot generalization across both simulation and physical benchmarks, propelling post-trained RoboTwin 2.0 performance to new state-of-the-art levels: 92.70% on Clean2Clean and a substantial leap to 84.60% on Clean2Random. On physical robots, HumanWAM-Goal further exhibits emergent embodied in-context learning, dynamically adapting its manipulation behavior to unseen visual goals without parameter updates. To support reproducible scaling research in embodied AI, we open-source the Open-HumanScale-50K corpus, data curation and pretraining pipelines, alongside the pretrained and post-trained HumanWAM checkpoints, inference code, and simulation evaluation suites.

  12. On the Opportunities and Challenges of Prefill-to-Autoregressive Cross-Model Transfer

Prefill-to-Autoregressive Cross-model Transfer (PACT), a form of latent communication between language models, combines a larger model's prompt representations with a smaller model's efficient generation, offering a promising way to balance capability and inference cost. However, existing systems provide limited support for independently evaluating large-small model collaboration, and improved task performance alone does not establish whether the receiver benefits from the sender's information. We introduce PLatour, an open-source PACT framework that connects frozen models through lightweight, zero-initialized linear bridges trained directly with task rewards and supports hybrid-attention architectures. PLatour significantly outperforms open-source baselines on generation tasks and surpasses Mostik's reported results on shared mathematics and coding benchmarks using a substantially smaller sender. However, controlled experiments show that the gains on some tasks can be reproduced by uninformative sender signals, self-communication, or receiver-only training. We find that trainable bridges can act as parameter-efficient adaptation mechanisms without exploiting useful sender information. We therefore propose PACT-Check to quantify how much of a trained PACT system's gain genuinely comes from communication. Finally, we discuss the opportunities and challenges of PACT systems. Code is available at https://github.com/zhenyi4/platour.

  13. EDGAR: Efficient Diffusion-Driven Gaussian Avatar Refinement via Synthetic Failure

Recent advances in Gaussian splatting have enabled efficient and photorealistic head avatar reconstruction, yet monocular video-based or image-based methods still suffer from under-constrained geometry and texture, leading to artifacts such as blurring, stretching, and temporal instability. We present EDGAR (Efficient Diffusion-Driven Gaussian Avatar Refinement), a conditional diffusion framework designed to enhance the quality of Gaussian avatars by correcting artifacts while preserving identity fidelity. To train EDGAR, we construct EDGAR-SET, a hybrid triplet dataset composed of real-captured and synthetic-rendered samples, which simulates realistic Gaussian avatar failure cases by pairing degraded renderings with ground-truth and reference images. EDGAR refines degraded frames through a fusion block that injects identity features extracted by the self-supervised Sapiens model into a one-step diffusion backbone, enabling effective artifact removal without sacrificing efficiency. Our EDGAR model incorporates a Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architecture to address diverse degradation types and severity levels. The refined multi-view renderings are subsequently used as pseudo-targets to optimize a single underlying Gaussian avatar, so that the final avatar can be rendered without applying EDGAR to every output frame. Experiments on three different Gaussian avatar reconstruction methods, each evaluated under three different settings, show improvements in both perceptual and reconstruction measures over the raw outputs and an SDEdit-style refinement baseline. In addition, cross-view evaluation demonstrates improved calibrated consistency, while tests under large yaw and open-mouth expressions verify robustness under extreme settings. These results collectively indicate a useful operating regime for recoverable appearance artifacts. The code is available at https://kwanyun.github.io/edgar/

  14. HeLM: Hierarchical Explicit Language Memory for Non-Markovian Manipulation

Recent advances in Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models have enabled fine manipulation capabilities, yet performing tasks that require working memory remains a key challenge. Most existing VLA architectures operate under a Markovian assumption, mapping only the current observation to an action, which leads to failure in non-Markovian environments. Inspired by the human 'inner monologue', we propose Hierarchical Explicit Language Memory (HeLM), a hierarchical VLA framework that maintains task-relevant history in explicit language through factorized event detection and event-triggered memory updates. We evaluate HeLM across 10 non-Markovian real-world tasks with 56 variants, including five newly formulated inter-episode tasks that require persistent context across task boundaries. HeLM improves intra-episode success by 12.8 percentage points over the strongest baseline and achieves 78% subtask success on compositional generalization tasks, while using up to 4.5x less memory and running 2.5x faster than the keyframe baseline at long horizons.

  15. Decode Before You Hear: Speculative Listening for Chunk-Interleaved Full-Duplex Speech Language Models

Chunk-interleaved full-duplex speech language models listen and speak in fixed time chunks, and each chunk must be processed before the next one arrives. Their workload is asymmetric across chunks: listen chunks leave compute idle while awaiting audio, and speak and tool-call chunks require serial generation, which delays responses and tool calls. Using the idle compute for the next chunk requires decoding it before its audio arrives, under an assumed input. Taking silence as the assumed input and comparing the output with the output under real audio on four models, we observe two properties. First, the next audio chunk does not change the output in 95.3% of chunks. Second, 88% of changes begin at the first output token. Building on these properties, we propose Speculative Listening, a training-free, lossless framework for input-time self-speculative decoding. During idle time, the model drafts the next chunk under silence and, for changes at the first token, a second branch from the runner-up first token. It keeps all drafts in a cross-chunk hypothesis pool and verifies them when the audio arrives. On our eight-task benchmark TickTock-Bench, Speculative Listening speeds up speak chunks by 2.6-2.8x and tool-call chunks by up to 23.4x. On average, it reduces the decoding delay before a response starts by 73%, to 74-241 ms, close to the 200 ms gap between human turns, and the maximum lag behind real time by 94.4%.

Cybertruck
